Reverend
Judy Mbugua is from Nairobi in Kenya. She is most passionate about
evangelism, training and empowering Christian leaders (especially
youth and women) and undertaking projects of social, spiritual concern
for the relief of poverty for individuals and communities. Judy is
married and a mother of 5 children (and grandmother of 7 grandchildren).
Judy leads a whole host of different evangelical organizations.
She currently serves as the Continental coordinator for the Pan
African Christian Women’s alliance (a commission on women’s
affairs in the association of evangelicals in Africa). She also
serves as the chairwoman for Women of Global Action and a Women’s
prayer movement in Kenya that has literally thousands of members.
Judy has written a number of books including “Making a Difference
– Christian Women in Politics” (a challenge to Christian
Women to join politics), “Judy. A second chance” (Judy’s
autobiography) and was featured as one of 12 Christian women profiled
in “Women as Risktakers”.
Judy has spoken at a variety of conferences, events and churches
all over the world and most recently in the UK at Spring Harvest
just a few years ago. Judy is committed to her local church in Nairobi
where she serves as an elder.
